EDGE (Middle School)

WHY EDGE?
EDGE is a Catholic youth group and catechesis program developed by Life Teen, International specifically geared towards middle school-aged students. EDGE addresses topics relevant to adolescent youth in a safe and loving environment facilitated by dedicated volunteers. Through testimonies, music, activities, and small group discussion, attendees are taught the importance of learning and applying the Catholic Faith in their daily lives. Read on to learn why your child should get involved with EDGE:

SAINTS ARE MADE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL
Early adolescence is the perfect time to shape youth in the Catholic faith. Middle School bridges the gap between childhood when kids are completely reliant on their parents and high school when they are on the verge of adulthood. In middle school, youth are beginning to make some of their own decisions, and we want them to make the right ones! This is the perfect time to place them on the path to sainthood! The Catholic Church has shaped many saints in this age range. St. Dominic Savio, St. Agnes, and St Maria Goretti are just a few saints who grew in holiness at a young age. Your child is also called to sainthood!

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH NEED TO BE ENCOURAGED
IN A STRONG FAITH COMMUNITY
When you bring your child to EDGE, You can assured that he/she will be supported by caring adults who have been trained in the Virtus Program as required by the Diocese of Yakima and are practicing Catholics who are passionate about their faith. Your child will also have the opportunity to meet and socialize with young Catholics who are going through the same challenges they are going through. Together we help each child navigate the world around them with Christ as their anchor.

WE WANT TO RAISE CHILDREN WHO ARE LIKE JESUS
We want youth to see the Church as their home. Jesus spent plenty of time in prayer, and he had his own version of a middle school youth group... If you don't believe us, check out Luke 2:41-52.
